This four-storey Victorian mansion in Queen’s Park boasts generous proportions and soaring ceilings, yet years of insensitive modernisation had left it stripped of character. The renovation sought to restore its original grandeur while introducing a contemporary, family-focused sensibility. Elegant wall mouldings, cornicing, architraves, and skirtings were carefully reinstated, creating a dialogue between the home’s heritage and sleek modern interventions.

A contemporary rear kitchen extension, topped with an expansive glass roof, floods the interiors with light, while the layout was reimagined to support modern family life. A self-contained loft suite provides privacy and flexibility, balancing the needs of daily living with the home’s stately character.

Every detail, from restored period features to refined contemporary finishes, was considered to ensure a seamless blend of past and present. The home now resonates with a quiet sophistication, where historic elegance is complemented by thoughtful, modern living.
